One of my favorite parts of SMT IV actually *is* how long the intro to the game is, you'll spend hours in Mikado and Naraku and suddenly learn that you weren't even in the real game yet and you're hit with the best overworld track in any RPG Ive ever played SMT IV is such a gem, and I hope it gets remastered someday so it can get out of the 3DS exclusivity pit
I wonder what the modding scene is like for the old SMT games, has anyone ever tried making a demake of the newer ones, for example? Then again, I suppose it would fall into the "mildly neat" category
The hacking scene currently mostly consists of retranslating and reinserting terms from later titles, and fixing text display with the games. Since AG's stuff is apparently botched beyond all hell. I think the most effort I've seen put into one was this Japanese resprite hack of 1 from forever ago where they replaced all of the sprites of the demons with touhou characters although I haven't been able to track that down ever since I first saw it. Oh also some "ultimate" SMTII romhack which unlocks a bunch of boss demons to be usable in your party and stuff, along with a few other things that I'm probably forgetting since that was also Jap only.
I wish I could experience SMT IV for the first time again.

このBGMを初めて聞いた時、初代ソウルハッカーズの２Dフィールドみたいで、ソッコー気に入ったのを覚えてる。女神転生２や真女神転生２の魔界など、荒廃してるイメージなのになぜか、どの世界よりもBGMが穏やかなのには当時良い意味で驚かされたなｗ
